![]() Is this maybe to do with the M1 chip? Ive read some of logitecs stuff doesnt work well with the m1. Sometimes it acts normal, seemingly randomly. On an external monitor it does this, but even worse many times. On my Macbook Pro (it has the m1 pro chip), its often laggy and the cursor seems to skip around when I drag the mouse. On my PC it runs perfectly with zero issues. The freewheeling is super handy for some 3D software I use, but fine and quick adjustments are just too unreliable now.So I got the mouse today and its wonderful. The rest of the mouse is great, but quickly scrolling up and down is just a basic function that I can't miss. I also noticed it has something to do with speed very quickly scrolling up and down will 100% result in some missed lines, but pausing half a second between every scroll seems to work better.īut yeah, I have to say I'm kinda disappointed, as it seemed to be such a premium product that everyone praises to heaven and back. Is it simply TOO accurate? If I scroll up, and accidently scroll back a tiny bit when lifting my finger, the software seems to compensate for that and substracts the downscrolls from the upscrolls. Sometimes it feels like this mouse just picks up on small quirks in my finger's motion that other mice can't. I do kinda wonder though: I also noticed it's WAY more sensitive than any scrolling wheel i've ever used, even on the lowest settings. Didn't even hear about this until I noticed it myself when I used my new MX for a few minutes. now you only notice when you scroll back and forth really quick it can sometimes jump a bit, but in actual use I dont scroll like that so its not an issue. The biggest thing for me is it completely fixed the issue of it just randomly dropping scrolling. I still wouldnt say its totally on par with the 2S or original, but id say its like 95% of the way there which is good enough for me. Dont know if I just happened to get a better unit, but the scroll tracking is way better. I recently purchased the MX master 3S and the issues I was having are pretty much fixed. You can try suggestions here but I found none of them worked. There is no workaround or software update that will fix it for most people. As far as we can tell this is just how the mouse is. I have talked to many people and customer support many times. Thoughts? (I'm on a mac book pro using the USB receiver) When i use the original MX master on the same computer i have no issues and i can scroll up and down really quickly and it tracks my scroll super accurately. Is it worth it to try to get a replacement MX master 3 or should i return it? Is this just a side effect of this new magnetic scrolling mechanism? or do i have a defective unit? it doesn't happen all the time but its frequent enough where there's no way i could use this mouse full time. It doesn't track the scroll accurately and it just starts jumping back and forth. Its also super apparent when you scroll up and down quickly. I would say around 3-5% of the time i scroll the wheel, nothing happens and i have to scroll again to get it to pick up. It seems the Mx master 3 is way less accurate at tracking my scrolling than the original MX master. I just bought an MX Master 3 to replace my original MX Master and i'm having issues with scrolling. ![]() If you wish to be added to the sidebar, please provide the mods with proof of connection with your company through mod mail.īe sure to check out our sister peripheral/input subreddits: Roccat - /u/RoccatAndi /u/TeamROCCAT /u/ROCCATLeuchtrakete Razer - /u/Razer_TheFiend /u/seeson /u/Cult_Of_Razer /u/razer-right /u/Razer_Pebo /u/razerbenz Logitech - /u/LogitechG_Coonrad /u/Logitech_CSLaurie /u/logi_jim /u/logi_pr /u/logi_as /u/logi_dm /u/logi_ss Lethal Gaming Gear - u/dheisman21882 /u/xSEEBEEx Glorious - /u/woox13 /u/GloriousZaper u/GloriousBIG /u/GloriousEmpress /u/GloriousPanther_ /u/GloriousKeem Welcome to /r/MouseReview!
